Our harpist' band, The Lori Andrews JazHarp Quintet, has been the house band for the Science and Technical Oscar Awards for 15 years now! The host this year was Marisa Tomei. Previous years' hosts have been Richard Dryfuss, Elizabeth Banks, Jessica Beal, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson, Charlize Theron, Renee Zellweger, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Helen Hunt, Anne Heche and Ashley Judd for starters.
The band consists of electric harp, acoustic bass, sax, guitar and drums. We play jazz as people are entering and during their dinner, then we play award recipients on and off the stage. We hope you'll get to see a little of it during the Oscars on February 27th!
